Flower Policy

Culverhouse Policy for Floral Delivery

Please contact the events staff for delivery. For questions please email Kelsey Walden at kjridgeway@ua.edu.

Death of Faculty or Staff Member or Immediate Family

When a Culverhouse faculty or staff member or a member of their immediate family (parent, parent-in-law, child, or spouse) dies, flowers will be sent to that member or family on behalf of Culverhouse. A designated staff member of their department needs to fill out the flower request form to supply the deceased person’s name, relationship to faculty or staff member, address, and phone number where the flowers need to be delivered.

Please note that the IRS allows us to make monetary donations to another university, a library, or an organization that The University of Alabama in some way does business with. We cannot donate to charities such as the heart association, cancer society, or church/religious organizations.

Hospitalization/Surgery

When a Culverhouse faculty or staff member is hospitalized (sickness, surgery, outpatient surgery, or birth of child including spouse in birth situation only) flowers will be sent to the faculty or staff member.  No other immediate family members are included. A designated staff member of the department needs to fill out the flower request form to supply the name of the person who is sick, name of the hospital (if stay needed), address of the hospital or home, phone number of the hospital (home if outpatient) and room number.
